  23. This is a design flaw in 32-bit Trumpet Beta.

  25. Unlike the Microsoft Winsock, Trumpet assumes that it should start 
  26. a SLIP/PPP connection whenever a Winsock application starts.  The MS 
  27. Winsock waits until the Winsock app tries to make a connection.  A more
  28. reasonable thing to do.

  30. My suggestion would be to (a) turn-off auto-connect in Trumpet; 
  31. and (b) contact the authors of Trumpet, to whon I assume you paid
  32. the shareware fee, and mention the problem you are having.
